Events in Čačak within the Cultural Capital 2023 program are entering its finale. The whole year of cultural happenings, concerts, exhibitions, shows, and performances, rushed through the city on Zapadna Morava bank and it will end with history and - basketball.

As the new exploration reopened at the late antiquity settlement in the National Museum courtyard, Čačak will take you to City Beneath the City this month. It will make you forget traffic, buildings, and streets, and immerse into rampart walls and simple tools. Take your children to some of the workshops as their imagination is going to blossom.

Čačak will also take you for a walk to the Jelica Mountain and its well-known archaeological site. The place where a town stood in the 6th and 7th century that hosted towers, churches, and a sewerage system, will be presented on December 15th in 3D technology at the exhibition called "Na Jelici beše grad" (There Stood a Town on Jelica).

As a last project within the Čačanska Rodna, it is certainly one of the most anticipated: the Basketball Museum, the first of its kind in Serbia, is set to be open. After all, some of our great basketball figures such as Dragan Kićanović, Željko Obradović, Radmilo Mišović, etc. originated from Čačak. And a hundred years ago the first basketball game was played in Serbia!
