Roads to tourism recovery

Under the slogan "Tourism for inclusive growth" the National Tourism Organisation of Serbia marked World Tourism Day, as well as the whole tourism world. From 26 to 28 September, the Tourist Forum in Veliko Gradište gathered numerous participants to discuss topics that are important to employees in domestic tourism.

Each destination faces different challenges, but over the past year and a half, they have shared the same problem - the pandemic and its aftermath. That is why it was useful for everyone to find out what happened to the professional staff in this area during the pandemic and how to compensate for that loss upon the covid crisis ends. Precisely for this reason, a panel called "Human resources as a border between successful and unsuccessful destinations" was organized within the Tourist Forum.

The meetings at Silver Lake were an opportunity for colleagues employed in tourism to meet, make friends, but also to exchange experiences from one of the toughest years in the tourism industry. They had a chance to hear the experts' suggestions, examples of good practice and directions in which tourism could move in the coming period.

Representatives of numerous tourist organizations could hear advice on the increasingly popular "storytelling" approach in presenting the destination.

With the introduction of the potential of the hosts‘ destinations and with the hope that such gatherings of employees in tourism will be more frequent, the 11th Tourist Forum was closed.
